Firstly, I will list some quick remedies that will help strengthen your immune system.

1. Eat food every 3 hours and drink enough water to keep your stomach full.


2. Eat Ripe Pineapple: Pineapple contains compounds similar to the drug bromaline, which is used in cough expectorants to help soften the thick phlegm inside the lungs and makes it easier to cough out.


3. Take Ginger And Honey Together: Take it once every night and don't drink water over it. According to Ayurveda and Chinese medicine, ginger is naturally designed to open blocked channels. Honey is an excellent carrier that takes the goodness and has a synergic effect with ginger.


4. Mint Tea along with ginger, cardamom, and lemon is a great antioxidant that helps in reducing free radicals from cells and thus strengthening organs.


5. Adding garlic in soup will also help in opening block channels.


6. GOLDEN MILK: Turmeric milk with black pepper, dry ginger powder in cow milk is anti-inflammatory thus improves immunity.


7. Gut Health:

Natural laxatives: According to Ayurveda, toxins are stored in the large intestine. Thus, for better health and to cure diseases related to immunity, gut health must be improved.

MEAL and PRANAYAM GUIDELINES FOR COVID PATIENTS:

1. WAKE UP:

Eat something [ Within 10 minutes of waking up ] like dry fruits with warm water to improve immunity and metabolism.

Pranayam: Exhale forcefully with your belly in and inhale softly with belly out. This will keep your nervous system in the parasympathetic mode, where your immune system works efficiently.

Toe and fingers stretches will also open nerve endings and help heal. You can do yin yoga [Grounding and relaxing] under online supervision.


2. Breakfast:

Add ginger in your breakfast when you prepare moong chilla, oats upma, daliya , boiled egg with broccoli, red bell pepper with jawar roti or normal parantha with less oil and ghee.


3. Noon Meal:

One thing to remember is that you must eat every 2-3 hours to boost your immune system.

Coconut water, fresh coconut, pineapple juice without sugar[No packed juices], elaichi bananas and apples are permitted. Avoid overly sweet foodstuffs and fruits with cold tasir, like grapes.


4. Lunch:

Begin your lunch with potato salad or tomato salad with grated ginger and salt on it.

Mashed vegetables, khichdi, curd rice, jawar or barley roti [As the medicine makes your pH acidic, avoid taking wheat in the afternoon].


5. Evening:

Paneer stuffed snacks with less oil and ghee, puffed rice snacks with mint ginger tea and lemon.


6. Dinner:

Masoor dal and fulka, pumpkin soup and tomato soup with oats .


7. Bed time:

Golden milk [As given above] along with positive affirmations and sleep meditation.

Good Sleep and positive affirmations are great healing tools.


LACK OF SMELL AND TASTE


1. Inhale roasted ajwaine 4-5 times a day to get the sense of smell back as soon as possible.

2. Concoction of garlic and lemon mix is good to regain the sense of taste.

3. Use oil dispenser with eucalyptus oil, camphor, tea tree oil and lavender oil will not only relax your mind but also purify the environment.


IMPORTANT NURIENTS ONE MUST ADD AND THEIR FOOD RESOURCES:

1. ZINC: Zinc supplements are good but you must include food items like whole grain, oats, roti, rice, beans, seeds and nuts.

2. VITAMIN C: Broccoli, orange, tomato, guava, strawberry and lychee.

3. IRON: All lentils, spinach and tofu.

4. B6: Green vegetables and chickpeas.

5. VITAMIN E AND A: Carrot, red bell pepper, mango, nuts and seeds.
